Why Snoring
There are many explanations for why snoring occurs. From an anatomical point of view, snoring is caused by part of the upper airway (nose and throat) obstruction. When we fall asleep, the muscles of our neck relax. Sometimes, the neck muscles are too relaxed and the upper airway (nose and throat) is partially closed, which in turn causes the airway to be too narrow, and as a result, it is unable to deliver enough gas to the lungs.
Why do people snore?
Why do some people snore while others do not? Those with enlarged tonsils, large tongues, or fat around the neck will be more prone to snore. Snoring can also be caused by a person's nose and jaw structure. This condition narrows the airway, causes throat tremor, and causes snoring. Regardless of the reason, 40% of normal people snore regularly, whether they are aware of it or not.
